- c-_change™ is a smart membrane technology that actually reacts to different temperatures and activities. As soon as greater moisture is produced from higher temperatures or increased body heat, the membrane structure opens and allows excess heat and water vapor to escape to the outside. When your body produces less heat energy, and consequently less moisture, the membrane structure contracts again. Windproof and waterproof performance is maintained throughout the process.
- With a temperature increase from around 50F to 70F, for example, c_change™ increases water vapor permeability (breathability) by 50%.
- NanoSphere® is naturally self-cleaning. It’s a nanotech-based finishing technology that encourages dirt and water to run off. The dirt simply can’t adhere to the finely structured surface. NanoSphere’s® protective functions are retained after frequent use and numerous washing, and have no effect on the garment’s look, feel, breathability, or elasticity. Cleaning is significantly easier as well, since products finished with this technology require less frequent washing and are washed at lower temperatures.
- Polartec® Alpha® is an active insulation. It actually allows moisture to pass through it. When you sandwich this ultra light, wind resistant insulation between a completely breathable inner liner and a breathable-yet-waterproof outer layer, what do you get? An innovative, highly technical, insulated garment that can be worn by itself while sweating OR recuperating. By the way, if it does get wet, it still keeps you warm and dries quickly.
